Strawberry Shortcake Biscuit 

There are a lot of foods that just scream "Made in the South", but this one is up there in the ranks. I had my first strawberry shortcake biscuit about 13 years ago and ever since then thinking about them make me drool. I wanted to share one of my favorite Southern Summer Desserts with you. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Recipe makes 6 Shortcakes


1 8 oz. package of Cream Cheese

1 8 oz. container of Cool Whip

1 tsp. Vanilla

1/3 C. of Powdered Sugar

1-2 Containers of Strawberries sliced (set a few sliced strawberries for topping)

1 tbsp. of Sugar

6 Frozen Biscuits, Bake according to Package Instructions


Instructions for Strawberry Mixture: Wash and slice two containers of strawberries. Place 1 whole container of sliced strawberries in bowl. Use masher to create juicy strawberry mixture, stir in 1 tbsp. of Sugar. Refrigerate until you are ready to dress the biscuit.

Instructions for Whipped topping Mixture: Let cream cheese soften. In a Mixer combine, cream cheese, cool whip, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Once mixture is well blended refrigerate until you are ready to serve!

Biscuits: Cook according to Package Instructions, When ready slice in half. Place bottom layer of biscuit on plate and add whipped topping mixture. Pour Strawberry mixture over topping, then add biscuit top and repeat previous layer.  Add some strawberries for presentation. Serve!
