Caprese Salad with Balsamic Reduction

There isn't much better during these hot summer months than a cool Caprese Salad and a good glass of wine. This is one of our favorite summer dishes. My recipe for caprese salad and balsamic reduction is below! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Large Tomato (sliced)
  • 10-12 Basil leaves 
  • 1 Pkg. Mozzarella (sliced)
  • 1 Cup of Balsamic Vinegar 
  • 1/4 Cup of Honey

Directions:

  • Stir balsamic vinegar and honey together in a saucepan and place over high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer until the vinegar mixture has reduced to 1/3 cup, about 10 minutes. 
  • Arrange alternate slices of tomato, mozzarella cheese, and basil leaves. Then drizzle with balsamic reduction.
